Although equal sixth (with Tadhg Kennelly) in the 2008 best and fairest, his form dropped away last season and at one stage he was relegated to the reserves. Extremely courageous, he plays with tremendous commitment and can be used as a pinch-hitter close to goal. A local product, he played in the 2005 premiership side.
