The Swans’ co-captain is the team’s heartbeat as he plays with enormous commitment and passion to set the perfect example. Had yet another fine season in 2009 with his hard work in the midfield and was third in the best and fairest. Although he usually fills a run-with role, he often wins more of the ball than his opponent. Co-captain of the 2005 premiership side, he is in the twilight of a superb career. He again led the Swans for tackles to underline his importance to the club.
