About TeamSWANS


The aim of TeamSWANS is to enable our players to establish life-long bonds between themselves and their community.

The TeamSWANS Community Development and Code Promotion Program aims to provide assistance to charitable causes whilst supporting the AFL and its promotion of the game in NSW.

The players, coaches and staff all support the initiatives of this program and gain valuable experience from the opportunities that it offers.

Through our partnership with the AFL, TeamSWANS support the efforts of junior AFL clubs in developing future stars in New South Wales.
 
TeamSWANS is active in supporting the AFL in promoting the code in schools across NSW.

The Sydney Swans' number one community project is the TeamSWANS Healthy Choices Program, which is primarily aimed at school children in years five and six.

It promotes the idea of 'healthy body, healthy mind', with sessions are conducted by Swans players to highlight to children the importance of taking responsibility for making healthy choices in all aspects of their lives.

Whilst the Oncology Children's Foundation is now recognised as the Sydney Swans' official charity partner, this does not diminish the Swans' ongoing support of other charities. The Club has supported charities including Redkite, the Heart Foundation and the Children's Hospitals at Randwick and Westmead for a number of years.
