The Sydney Swans have a passionate and dedicated supporters group operating in the Canberra region.
Our members meet regularly during the season to watch ‘away’ matches on the big screen at the Canberra Southern Cross Club in Woden - these are our “Home Away From Home” Functions. We have a lot of fun with raffles, tipping competitions and lucky door prizes. We also have a Lucky Member’s Prize which starts at $50.00 and jackpots each function until the prize is won. Everyone is welcome!
Our group also organises bus trips to Sydney for some of the home games and during these trips we watch footy videos, participate in a “Pick the Margin” competition, trivia competitions etc, and have a raffle and lucky door prizes. We welcome opposition supporters on our trips and of course it is more fun for us if their team doesn’t win!
Media Clips as provided to us from Swans Head Office and are forwarded to all members, and we also produce a regular newsletter to keep fans informed of all the happenings.
Joining our group is a great way to meet new people – we have all made a lot of friends over the past few years - and as the Sydney Swans (and footy) are our main interest we have lots to talk about.
Membership is $20 per person or $30 per family - all new members are very welcome.
The Sydney Swans Reserves play a number of matches in Canberra each year in the NEAFL competition and we attend as many of these matches as possible to support our up-and-coming young players - but you don’t have to be a Swans-ACT member to cheer loudly for the Swans!
2011 MAJOR RAFFLE
This year for our major fundraising raffle we have the following prizes:
1st Prize - A signed, framed 2011 Sydney Swans guernsey.
2nd Prize - A beautiful mixed hamper donated by Hamperesque - we gratefully acknowledge their contribution.
3rd Prize - A one hour body massage with the compliments of Magic Hands - thank you Maxine we really appreciate your donation.

END OF SEASON FUNCTION
Clyde River Cruise - Saturday 5th November 2011
Coach departs Woden at 9.00am and Dickson at 9.30am and makes its way to Bateman’s Bay where we board the Merinda vessel and cruise the beautiful Clyde River to Nelligen, whilst enjoying a fish, chips and salad lunch.
Beer, wine and soft drinks are available on board at your own cost
After exploring Nelligen we board our vessel and return to Bateman’s Bay at approx 2.30pm where we board the coach for our return trip to Canberra

ANNETTE ELLIS END OF SEASON BBQ
Annette has kindly donated her back yard for our 2011 End of Season BBQ. All members are welcome - just bring your own meat and chair, hat and sunscreen.
