The Sydney Swans have welcomed the news that the Club’s home finals will now be held at the SCG.

The AFL has today confirmed successful negotiations with ANZ Stadium Management to relocate Swans home finals to Sydney’s spiritual home, other than a potential cross-town clash with GWS which would be played at ANZ Stadium.

Sydney Swans Chief Executive and Managing Director Andrew Ireland says it’s a terrific outcome.

“We’re really pleased with today’s decision to move finals matches to the SCG because we know the preference of our members and supporters is to play finals at our home ground,” Ireland said.

“We’re appreciative of the efforts made by the AFL, ANZ Stadium, SCG Trust and NSW Government to make this happen.

“Importantly we’ve still got one round of the home-and-away season to go and we look forward to seeing our supporters out in force as we take on Richmond at the SCG tomorrow.”

The Swans have enjoyed welcoming ANZ Stadium members to the SCG for home matches this season and look forward to continuing that throughout the finals series.
