Josh Kennedy’s award-winning year has continued, with the gun midfielder taking out the Sydney Swans Foundation’s best golfer title on their recent trip to New Zealand.

Kennedy, now a three-time winner of the award, joined Adam Goodes, Jarrad McVeigh, Ben McGlynn, Jeremy Laidler and Jake Lloyd on this year’s trip to Queenstown, along with key Swans Foundation donors.

Those on the trip were treated to two rounds of golf at the picturesque Jack’s Point Golf Course and at Millbrook Resort.

Kennedy wasn’t the only player to take out an award, with co-captain McVeigh’s group, also consisting of former number one ticket holder Duncan McPherson, Bruce McBriar and Tony Morwood, winning the overall team award.

Head of the Sydney Swans Foundation, Tony Morwood, said the trip was a huge success.

“It is an excellent opportunity for many of our key supporters of the Swans Foundation to engage with our players whilst the players are on their break,” Morwood said.

“Many friendships have been forged over the years, with donors from Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne participating this year.”
