Sydney Swans midfielder Jake Lloyd believes a host of fresh faces could be in line for a first-round debut based on their performances in this year's JLT Community Series.

First-year draftees Oliver Florent, Darcy Cameron and Robbie Fox appeared in all three pre-season encounters after Sunday night's narrow win against St Kilda in Albury.

The trio have taken their opportunities with both arms especially Florent who racked up 10 contested disposals in the three-point triumph at Lavington Sports Ground, an impressive display for his 183cm and 74kg frame.

Will Hayward showed glimpses of his speed and class in the Swans' final two games while Lewis Melican, now in his third year at the football club, proved his ability to hold down a key defensive post across the three games in Aliir Aliir's absence.

With a number of key personnel on the sidelines with injury, including Jarrad McVeigh (calf), Isaac Heeney (illness) and Tom Papley (knee/shin), the Swans could see multiple debutants don the jumper against Port Adelaide on March 25.

"They stood up in a high-pressure game tonight, which is important," Lloyd said of Florent, Cameron and alike.

"You never know come Round 1. There are certainly spots available and those kids put their hand up tonight which is really good for the team."

They were the perfect complement to the likes of Lloyd (30 disposals), Dan Robinson (28), Zak Jones (26) who ultimately spearheaded Sunday night's win.

The trio took a lot of weight off the shoulders of their more seasoned teammates in Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker and Dan Hannebery around the ground, depth which bodes well for the the Swans in season 2017.

As for Lloyd, he's set to continue being a swing man of sorts and play across half-back and along the wing this season, roles which made him such an important player in the Swans' assault on last year's finals series.

He says with the pre-season now ticked off, the whole team can now reset and look forward to playing for points.

"It was obviously a fantastic performance tonight," he added.

"Winning those close ones are important, it doesn't matter if it's for four points or a pre-season game, it's good to get that confidence going into Round 1.

"I can't wait. Pre-season games are good but four points for a win is good as well. The boys are certainly excited for two weeks’ time."

After training on Tramway Oval for the past four months, the Sydney Swans will return to the SCG this week in preparation for next Saturday's opening round match against Port Adelaide.
