Superstar forward Lance Franklin has further improved his chances of taking out the AFL Goal of the Year after another nomination for the award.

Franklin's 60m bomb from the boundary line at the start of the final quarter against the Giants has earned him a Round 17 Goal of the Year nomination.

With the game in the balance Buddy took it upon himself to slot one home from a set shot on the tightest of angles from distance.

Franklin has already been nominated for the AFL Goal of the Year during the 2017 season.

The Swans superstar will be up against Melbourne defender Jayden Hunt and GWS veteran Stevie Johnson who were also nominated from the weekend of football.
