1. Heeney in hot water?
Will Swan Isaac Heeney's bone-crunching tackle on Jarryn Geary late in the first half be looked at by the MRP? And should it? Heeney wrapped up the Saints defender while he was in mid-air, and dumped him over the boundary near the members' stand. It was deemed a dangerous tackle and Geary got a free kick, but the incident will likely come under the microscope this week. The nuggety Saint walked away from the hit – something that could work in Heeney's favour. But then again, you can't stay down in front of the members.

2. Sinclair on song
Callum Sinclair has done things the hard way. He was picked up by West Coast as a 24-year-old rookie, before being sent to Sydney three seasons later in a straight swap for Lewis Jetta. Many people thought the Swans got ripped off, but Sinclair showed plenty on Saturday night, booting a career-best five goals. The 199cm unit was recalled this week and straightened the home side up inside-50 early, booting two first-quarter majors. He also clunked 10 marks, and had 18 touches.

3. Time to rest Roo
Nick Riewoldt has been a tireless warrior in his glittering career with the Saints, but the 34-year-old looks in desperate need of a week off. St Kilda have a tough away clash with Port Adelaide next weekend, and a plane trip to play a Power side on the bounce is the last thing he needs. The 333-game veteran has injured both knees this season, and despite kicking a silky goal on Saturday night and working hard, he had only 10 touches.

4. Saints marched out of top eight
Two weeks ago, the Saints marched into seventh spot on the back of four straight wins. But a meek showing against Essendon in round 17, and a limp effort against the Swans has them slip to 10th. They have a tough run home with games against Port Adelaide (away), West Coast (home), Melbourne, North Melbourne and Richmond. It's hard to see them making the finals from here.
