Six Sydney Swans players polled in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award voting following standout performances in Friday night's win against Geeelong.

Star midfielder Luke Parker earned nine votes from coaches John Longmire and Chris Scott for his 23 disposals and cracking goal in the win at Kardinia Park.

The 24-year-old stood tall around the stoppages in the absence of skipper Josh Kennedy, tallying an equal game-high eight clearances and 13 tackles.

Jarrad McVeigh chimed in with six votes for his classy display in defence while, alongside Parker, Dan Hannebery helped lead the charge in the midfield to earn himself five votes.

Sam Reid (three votes) and Tom Papley (one) rounded out the votes for Sydney while Mitch Duncan (five) and Sam Menegola (one) featured for Geelong.

With three rounds remaining, it seems the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award is now a two-horse race with Richmond's Dustin Martin (104) and Geelong's Patrick Dangerfield (94) well ahead of the field.
