We take a look at some of the key statistical winners for the Swans during the 2017 season with some familiar names alongside fresh young talent coming through.

Kicks
1. Jake Lloyd - 370
2. Lance Franklin - 316
3. Luke Parker - 304
4. Callum Mills - 267
5. Nic Newman - 260
Clearly one of the most efficient ball users by foot, Lloyd played across half back throughout the 2017 season and was an important cog in the Swans attack out of defence. A proven ball winner he averaged a career high 16.1 kicks per game during the season.

Handballs
1. Josh Kennedy - 344
2. Dan Hannebery - 328
3. Luke Parker - 304
4. George Hewett - 250
5. Jake Lloyd - 227
The clearance king was once again leading the way in and under the packs getting plenty of handballs out to teammates. Kennedy always gets plenty of possesions and continued this trend in 2017 using the ball more by hand than foot.

Disposals
1. Luke Parker - 608
2. Jake Lloyd - 597
3. Josh Kennedy - 592
4. Dan Hannebery - 569
5. Zak Jones - 458
The usual suspects of Parker, Kennedy and Hannebery headline this list but it is the emergence of Jake Lloyd and Zak Jones in being able to find more of the footy that would be most pleasing for the Swans. Lloyd and Jones both averaged a career high for disposals per game throughout the 2017 season in a sign of their development.

1. Luke Parker – 151
2. Josh Kennedy – 142
3. George Hewett – 77
4. Dan Hannebery – 71

It is no surprise to see Parker and Kennedy once again lead the way for the Swans in clearances for the season. More midfield minutes for young pair Hewett and Heeney has shown they have what it takes to match it with the elite in the midfield.

1. Lance Franklin – 158
2. Jake Lloyd – 136
3. Sam Reid – 134
4. Heath Grundy – 130
5. Callum Mills – 121
In a sign of Franklin’s improvement above his head it was the most marks the star forward has ever taken in a season. Once again Lloyd features heavily as do fellow defenders Heath Grundy and Callum Mills.

Tackles
1. Luke Parker – 134
2. Dan Hannebery – 119
3. George Hewett – 115
4. Josh Kennedy – 103
5. Isaac Heeney – 95
The hardness and tenacity of Luke Parker around the contest fails to surprise any and was once again at its highest level in season 2017. George Hewett proved he could play an important role in the midfield with his pressure around the footy among the best in the side.

Goals
1. Lance Franklin – 73
2. Tom Papley – 30
2. Sam Reid – 30
4. Will Hayward – 22
4. Gary Rohan – 22
Lance Franklin was again the dominant force up forward to claim his fourth Coleman Medal courtesy of a bag of ten in Round 23. Sam Reid managed 30 goals for the season, his best return in front of the big sticks since 2012. Hayward was a clear highlight this season as the Rising Star nominee managed 22 goals from 17 matches in his first season.

Goal Assists
1. Lance Franklin – 19
2. Kieren Jack – 18
2. Tom Papley – 18
4. Zak Jones – 15
4. Dan Hannebery - 15
Not only does Franklin kick the goals but he is the leader in setting up his teammates. Tom Papley once again featured highly and more minutes forward for Dan Hannebery and Kieren Jack this season was evident with their ability to set up teammates in front of goal.
