The Sydney Swans will have five players attending the 2017 Brownlow Medal presentation on Monday night at Crown Palladium.

Captain Josh Kennedy, Dan Hannebery, Luke Parker, Lance Franklin and Jake Lloyd have all been invited to the AFL’s night of nights.

Kennedy, Franklin and Parker are all expected to be among the leading vote getters for the Swans.

Parker finished the 2016 count as runner up on 26 votes behind Geelong champion Patrick Dangerfield who won with 35 votes.

The Brownlow Medal is the leading individual award in the competition, which has been awarded since 1924.

Voting for the Brownlow Medal is conducted by field umpires, immediately after each home-and-away match, with three votes awarded for the player they believed to have been the best on the ground, two votes for the second best player and one vote for the third best player on the day.

The 2017 Brownlow Medal Vote Count will be telecast live on Channel Seven and 7mate from 8.30pm with the red carpet arrivals beginning at 7.30pm.

Sydneyswans.com.au will have comprehensive coverage of the Brownlow Medal as it unfolds on Monday.
