Jake Lloyd is well-placed to poll well during Friday night's Club Champion Dinner.

In the lead up to Friday night's Club Champion Dinner, Sydney Swans Media will discuss the serious contenders in the running to take out the coveted award.

Jake Lloyd

While the likes of Josh Kennedy, Luke Parker and Lance Franklin may stand out as the favourites for this year's Bob Skilton Medal, can an emerging defender sweep the field and deservedly put his name in lights?

Jake Lloyd is poised to do exactly that after an incredibly consistent season across half back and through the midfield.

Lloyd's run, decision making and superb ball use was on show all season, even when the side was teetering at 0-6.

He averaged a career-high 25 disposals on top of six marks, four rebound 50s and nearly 80 per cent disposal efficiency per game to well and truly establish himself as an important member of the Sydney Swans league acclaimed defence.

He's gone under the radar to this point in time but the ultimate prize or even a podium finish will change all that.

Lloyd's season by the numbers

Games: 23
Goals: 6
