Senior Sydney Swans Jarrad McVeigh and Dan Hannebery will push for selection for Sunday's opening round AFL game away to West Coast, if they come through Thursday's training run.

Both men have had injury issues, but trained well on Tuesday with Sydney coach John Longmire saying each will come into the frame for selection if they pull up well.

"Both of them have been training at a really high standard," Longmire said.

"We know they’re quality players.

"They certainly trained well in the first training session this week and if they get through training today it absolutely puts them in the frame."

The same goes for ruckman Callum Sinclair, who has recovered from an ankle injury, though a similar issue has ruled out back Aliir Aliir.

More to come.
