Sydney Swans defender Jake Lloyd has made AFL.com.au’s Round 9 Team of the Week for the starring role he played in the side’s 59-point win over Fremantle on Saturday.

The 24-year-old collected a career-high 41 possessions and recorded a game-high count for the second week running.

He read the play with expertise, played an integral role in the Swans’ ability to continually rebound out of defence and kicked a goal.

Lloyd joins West Coast Eagles backman Jeremy McGovern and Melbourne defender Jake Lever on Team of the Week’s half-back line.
