Sydney Swans defenders Jake Lloyd and Jarrad McVeigh polled a near-perfect nine AFL Coaches’ Association’s Champion Player of the Year votes in the side’s win over Fremantle on Saturday.

Lloyd collected 41 touches to record a game-high count for the second week running and complemented a career-high return with a goal in the SCG clash.

McVeigh finished with 31 disposals and the two backmen read the play with expertise and continually rebounded the ball out of defence.

Vice-captain Luke Parker earned six votes for a stand-out display marked with 23 touches, five tackles, seven inside 50s and a goal, while defenders Callum Mills and Dane Rampe picked up two votes each.

Midfielder Isaac Heeney (one vote) and captain Josh Kennedy (one) earned the remainder of the votes.
