Sydney Swans stars Ben Ronke, Will Hayward and Matt Ling paid a visit to Newtown North Public School on Tuesday afternoon.

The young Swans regularly visit local schools as part of Volkswagon Swansfit, at which they help run the students through a range of activities.

The kids worked on handballing and kicking, participated in a range of fun games, received a signed ball each and had a big photo taken with the players at the end.

Ronke said he enjoyed giving back.

“I remember back in primary school it was a good feeling when you heard there were some AFL players coming to school,” Ronke said.

“So to be able to go back and have that impact and see how much it means to the little kids is really good.

“It’s good to see the smiles on the kids’ faces.

“I try to get them more knowledgeable around footy.”
