Isaac Heeney's high-flyer late in the contest against Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday has received a nomination for the AFL Mark of the Year for Round 21.

In the dying stages of Sunday's win the 22-year-old flew high above the pack to take a strong overhead mark.

As the ball flew into the Demons forward line, Heeney rose above to use Jesse Hogan as a step ladder to take the screamer.

The young Swan will be up against Gold Coast SUNS youngster Callum Ah Chee and West Coast forward Liam Ryan.

All members of the public that vote and pick a weekly winner in the 2018 Mark of the Year go into the draw to win $10,000.

Voting will close on Thursday night.
