Swans express disappointment at ticketing issues

Sydney Swans Chief Executive and Managing Director Andrew Ireland has made the following statement to members in regards to today’s ticketing issues.

The Sydney Swans are extremely disappointed with the difficulties faced by our members during today’s on-sale period for our elimination final against GWS.

We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused our members. 

Unfortunately, the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust’s ticketing provider, Ticketek, had significant system issues and had to push back the on-sale date until Wednesday.

We share in our members frustration with the issues and hope that the SCG and Ticketek have rectified the problem.

The Club will be seeking a full explanation of what’s caused this issue from the SCG and Ticketek.

We are pleased that Ticketek has made the decision to waive the $7.25 transaction fee.

We value the support and patience of our members and look forward to seeing you at the SCG next Saturday, September 8.

The adjusted on sale times are as follows:

Club Members – 3pm (AEST), Wednesday August 29

The club member purchase window remains open and exclusive for 24 hours.

General Public – 4pm (AEST), Thursday August 30

Ticket sales will continue until game time or sold out prior.
