Following his best and fairest win in 2010, Jack was keen to continue his impressive development in 2011.

But for the first time in his career, injury struck.

A serious ankle injury against Carlton in round six kept him out of five games before a recurrence forced him to be substituted out of the round 14 clash with Collingwood and then miss another game.

He struggled with match fitness upon his return, but the important member of the Swans’ midfield was back to his best in the run in to the finals.
