Proved a surprise packet in his first season in Sydney. Recruited as a defender, the Swans decided to experiment with him as a forward and it paid off. Injury ruined the first half of his campaign, but he forced his way into the side late in the season and played the last five games, including both finals, kicking seven goals in that stretch. 2011 was… initially really disappointing for him because he came into a new club and wanted to impress and certainly did everything right early on but then just broke down with injury and missed a big chunk of the year and pre-season. From that disappointment came some really positive signs later in the year, he came in and played a role really well in the forward line which he probably didn’t expect coming across from West Coast. He showed he can play that role really well.
His pre-season he has been… flying until he tore his hamstring. He’s back in rehab but hopefully it all goes smoothly. One thing from last year, he’s shown that with a setback he can come back and play well.
In 2012 we want to see… that he knocks this injury on the head and gets a bit of game time in and can come in and play another role for us and improve on what he did last year because he’s certainly capable of that.
