Shaw has been another in a long list of players to join the Swans from another AFL club and prove a success. Had a superb 2011, finishing runner-up in the best and fairest for the second time in three years. Finished fifth in the AFL for rebounds from defensive 50m and was third for the Swans in kicks and seventh in disposals. The popular former Magpie also took out last year’s best clubman award. 2011 was… he finished runner-up in the Bob Skilton Medal. He had tagging roles as well as playing off half-back. He does both very well and is instrumental with our ball movement out of the back half.
His pre-season has been… extremely strong, he’s been running really well and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
