More than 100 years after he was one of the best players in the Club's 1909 premiership, Jim "Joker'' Cameron should never be forgotten.

So we're thankful to Swans fan, Rowan Tracey, of Pymble in Sydney, for pointing out that Cameron's name was left off a photo of that victorious 1909 team, which won the Club's first VFL premiership.

The photo was published last year in the book, "In the Blood'', the comprehensive history of the South Melbourne - Sydney Swans Football Club, and also in the Swans magazine.

Mr Tracey points out that Cameron is standing in the back row of the picture, and notes that he played on a half forward flank and on the ball in the grand final defeat of Carlton. His performance was reported as "solid and convincing'' in the historic two point victory.

Cameron played a total of 117 games for South Melbourne between 1903 and 1911.
