TeamSWANS Partners

The Sydney Swans Football Club has the opportunity to work with many worthwhile charities and organisations where common goals are shared. The Club has long-standing partnerships with key groups and works to ensure these relationships are mutually beneficial and contribute to our local community.

Charities

Redkite is proud to be an official charity of the Sydney Swans.

Redkite supports children, young people and their families through cancer by providing real and practical support through the cancer journey - from the very moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment and when families return home to their community. Redkite's vital services include emotional, financial and educational support for the whole family.

Established in 2000, the special partnership between the Sydney Swans and Redkite is motivated by the team’s desire to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer and their families in their community.  The players, with full support of the Club, visit children and young people in the oncology wards, participate in Redkite Family Days and other events.  The Swans also host an annual Redkite celebrity match where celebrities battle it out for the Redkite Cup.

Redkite receives no government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of the community and corporate partners, like the Sydney Swans.

Adam Goodes and Michael O'Loughlin set up the Goodes-O'Loughlin Foundation with the goal to provide Corporate Australia and Indigenous Australia with a means by which to engage more closely. We exist to enable a brighter future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The Goodes-O'Loughlin Foundation aims to help Indigenous Australians set and achieve life goals.

Partner Clubs

NSW Swifts

The Sydney Swans are proud to be a Premier Partner of the NSW Swifts. The partnership started in 2008 when, in conjunction with our Principal Partner QBE, we formalised our relationship with the the NSW Swifts, inaugural ANZ Championship premiers.

NSW Swifts players have access to and utilise the Sydney Swans facilities at the SCG, including our gymnasium.

The Clubs work closely together and with Principal Partner QBE, form a unique sporting family.

Government

The Sydney Swans support AFL NSW/ACT’s delivery of the PaCE Program. PaCE is part of the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) “Learn Earn Legend!” initiative and stands for Parental and Community Engagement. The program focuses on improving educational outcomes of Indigenous school students through enhancing Indigenous parental engagement with schools and education providers.

Sydney Swans players with Aboriginal backgrounds visit parents and students participating in this program in Coffs Harbour, Wollongong, Wagga Wagga, Blacktown and Campbelltown.
