The Sydney Swans Foundation has released its 2025 Impact Report, celebrating 20 years of transformative support for the club.

Since its inception in 2005, the Sydney Swans Foundation has been committed to nurturing talent, building world-class facilities, and fostering a culture of connection and philanthropy. Its work has enabled the Swans to dream bigger, reach higher, and achieve more – on and off the field.

Over the past 20 years, the Foundation has raised approximately $40 million, connected more than 1,000 donors, and helped more than 3,300 young athletes through the QBE Sydney Swans Academy, with 30 graduates progressing to elite AFL and AFLW lists.

The Foundation’s impact is evident in the club’s incredible home, the Sellers & Colless Centre, Sydney Swans HQ – a world-class facility that houses the Sydney Swans along with community tenants including the GO Foundation, Clontarf Foundation and a Lifeblood blood donation centre. The final stage of the project, the Peter Weinert Museum, opened in April this year to celebrate the club’s rich history and inspire future generations.

The Foundation has also funded pioneering initiatives, including embedding a PhD researcher into the AFLW program, while through programs like the Basil Sellers Scholarship and the Frank Burton Scholarship, the Foundation continues to invest in the personal and athletic development of young footballers.

Sydney Swans Foundation chairman Peter Ivany said at its core, the Foundation is about connection.

“Everyone who is part of the Sydney Swans Foundation is united by a shared love of the red and white, and by a shared belief in the power of giving and community,” Ivany said.

“As the Foundation enters its third decade, our mission remains clear: to future-proof the Sydney Swans for generations to come. With continued support, the next 20 years promise even greater impact, innovation, and success.

“On behalf of the Foundation board I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every donor who has played a lasting role in the club’s story.”
