Parker going nowhere

List update: Tom Harley - September 12, 2018 Head of Football Tom Harley provides an update on the club's list.
Luke Parker is contracted at the Swans until the end of the 2021 season.

Sydney Swans Head of Football Tom Harley has ‘unequivocally’ squashed any chance of midfielder Luke Parker being traded during the upcoming exchange period.

Parker, a vice-captain at the Swans, is contracted to the Club until the end of the 2021 season.

Harley said it he was shocked to hear talk surrounding the reigning Bob Skilton Medallist.

“I was very surprised to hear about trade rumours with Luke Parker,” Harley said.

“I can unequivocally deny those rumours.

“We have spoken to Luke today, he is fully invested in the Swans and we won’t be trading him under any circumstances at all.”

Harley said the signs were positive for defender Jake Lloyd who is currently out of contract.

“The conversations are ongoing with Jake both to him personally and also his player manager,” Harley told SwansTV.

“They are fruitful conversations, there is no animosity or angst and we’re really hopeful of getting a deal done with Jake.”

Dan Hannebery and Gary Rohan are both set to explore options for a move home to Victoria for unique circumstances.

Swans players will continue their exit interviews on Thursday as the side’s NEAFL side prepares to play in a Grand Final on Sunday afternoon.
