Sydney Swans members and supporters are now just three sleeps from the red and white’s first home game of the 2019 season – and that means a host of unprecedented upgrades to the SCG are just days from being rolled out.

Friday night's clash with the Adelaide Crows will present Swans fans a connection like never before, with the SCG installing Wi-Fi and IPTV over the summer.

The news was announced off the back of the SCG becoming home to the biggest video screen in the southern hemisphere, with two new and improved scoreboards now in place for Swans home games.

The new Wi-Fi system will enable supporters to remain up to date throughout the entire game, with access to stats, news and videos just a click away on the comprehensive Official Sydney Swans Club App.

And fans won’t miss a moment of the action when grabbing a drink or bite to eat, with the new IPTV system housing a total of 1400 screens around the famous venue.

A wide range of hospitality upgrades will also welcome Swans fans for the first time, with new coffee machines and a refurbishment of The Churchill Stand’s dining bar both introduced during the summer months.

The new 4 Pines Brewing lounge is also among the many hospitality additions to the SCG, while 1600 seats have been added to the Red Zone.

Swans Head of Commercial Kelle Storey says the large-scale upgrade to the IT system and hospitality is an enormous plus.

“We’ve been listening to feedback from members and supporters and it’s great the SCG has made upgrades to boost the game-day experience at the venue,” Storey told Swans Media.

“The needs and wants of fans are also at the centre of what we do at the Sydney Swans, and the recent upgrades to food outlets, bars, how meals are served, furniture, the IT system, scoreboards and much, much more will make going to a Swans game an unforgettable experience.”
