The superstar forward has been nominated for his outstanding second quarter long bomb from the boundary line against Adelaide on Friday night at the SCG.

Standing in front of the SCG Members stand Franklin picked up the ball and off just a few steps managed to squeeze it past a defender and through the goals.

Collingwood big mn Mason Cox and West Coast's Jack Petruccelle will be Buddy's competition to take out the Round 2 award.

Star forward Isaac Heeney took out last week's Mark of the Year after winning 70% of the fan vote.
