The Sydney Swans have made two changes to their side to face Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Co-captain Dane Rampe returns to the side after missing last week’s Sydney Derby with an eye injury and is joined by debutant James Bell.

It was confirmed earlier this week that Bell would make his debut after strong NEAFL form in recent weeks.

Kieren Jack and James Rose have both been omitted from the side.

Coach John Longmire said it was pleasing to be able to welcome Rampe back into the fold.

“It is great to get Dane back, obviously he is one of the better defenders in the competition so it is a big job for him this week,” Longmire said.

“He comes back into the team so it is great to have him back in to add some experience.

Bell was a product of the QBE Sydney Swans Academy and taken in the rookie draft of November 2017.

“It is fantastic, he has come from down near Wollongong, come up here to be part of our Academy and it will be fantastic to see him make his debut,” Longmire said.

“He plays in our reserves through the wing or half forward and has some genuine pace.

“He is pretty hard at it as well so it is good to have him in.”
