THE FUTURE for Sydney looks bright after a young and energetic Swans outfit trounced the disappointing Demons 15.5 (95) to 5.12 (42) at the MCG on Friday night.

Nick Blakey was as good as any on the ground and continues to impress on a weekly basis, and he had plenty of support from fellow young Swans James Rowbottom, Oliver Florent, Jordan Dawson whilst experienced defender Dane Rampe controlled the backline and Aliir Aliir had a good night out.

It was hard to find any performances of note for the Demons. Max Gawn dominated the hit outs against Aliir Aliir but was well beaten around the ground, and Jake Melksham had his chances in front of goal but was wasteful, finishing with 3.5.
