The Sydney Swans wish the NSW Swifts the best of luck ahead of the 2019 Super Netball Grand Final against Sunshine Coast Lightning on Sunday.
The Swifts will head north to play the Lightning on Sunday, 15 September from 1pm at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
It will be the Swifts first Grand Final appearance since 2016 after they booked their place in the season finale with a preliminary final win over the Melbourne Vixens last weekend.
Swifts co-captain Paige Hadley said her side was looking forward to the challenge in front of them.,
“You want to go into a grand final knowing that you’ve done everything you can so you can enjoy the game,” she said.
“For me if I reflect on two grand finals where we lost (in 2015) by one goal, and (in 2016) by double overtime, and I just reiterate that you leave no stone unturned … because this is one of the best weeks in your whole sporting career,” Hadley said.
Fans in Sydney interested in watching the match with fellow Swifts fans are welcome to attend the 2019 Grand Final Live Site at The Locker Room in Sydney Olympic Park from 12pm on Sunday.
