The Sydney Swans will blood their sixth debutant for the season with Zac Foot to play his first game against Greater Western Sydney at Optus Stadium on Thursday night.

Foot was taken by the Swans with pick 51 in the 2018 AFL Draft and has developed his game using his immense work ethic and quick speed to impress playing in the reserves.

The 19-year-old said he was excited by the opportunity that had presented itself.

“I am very excited to be playing this weekend," Foot said.

"Hopefully I can bring some dash tomorrow, a high amount of pressure and just really enjoy the moment."

Foot said he had been working hard on his game over the last twelve months to get himself ready for an opportunity at AFL level.

“A big thing for me was working on my running patterns to work up and down the ground,"

"As a few boys have started to debut I have realised it is the pressure side of my game that needed to improve to be at a really high level.

"I feel the last few games I have had that at a really high level and I guess it has paid off for me to be able to run out there tomorrow night."

Foot joins Sam Wicks, Dylan Stephens, Chad Watner, Matt Ling and Elijah Taylor in making debuts for Sydney this season.
