Sydney Swans forward Lance Franklin has earned a Goal of the Year nomination following his long range effort against Carlton in Round 10.

Franklin’s long on-the-run goal from the centre square was a vintage major from the champion goalkicker.

On the burst, Franklin belted one from well beyond the 50m mark to light up Marvel Stadium.

It was Franklin’s second goal of the evening.

Fans can now view the nomination below and vote for Franklin at goaloftheyear.afl.

All members of the public that vote and pick a weekly winner in the 2022 Goal of the Year will go into the draw to win $5,000.

At the end of the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, the AFL will nominate three marks for public voting for the Mark of the Year and three goals for the Goal of the Year.
