The Sydney Swans have unveiled a limited edition 150th anniversary guernsey which will be worn for the Opening Round match against Melbourne at the SCG on Thursday March 7th.

The guernsey was unveiled at a special event in collaboration with apparel partner Nike at Sydney Swans HQ on Wednesday night, with current and past players in attendance including Peter Bedford, Michael O'Loughlin, Jude Bolton and Callum Mills as well as 2024 number one ticket holder, Rebecca Skilton, the granddaughter of Bloods Legend Bob Skilton.

Sydney Swans members and ambassadors were also part of the reveal with 50 lucky members opting in to be one of the first to get their hands on the commemorative guernsey.

The guernsey is a reflection of the club's 150 year history, which began in South Melbourne in 1874 and then to the harbour city in 1982.

The South Melbourne Heritage is represented through the iconic V pattern repeated through the top half of the guernsey, while the core of the club's current home guernsey shows the connection with Sydney and the club’s story onwards for the next 150 years.

CEO Tom Harley said it will be a special moment for our players to run out on Opening Night, in a Sydney Swans guernsey that recognises our club’s incredible 150 year journey.

“With this celebration guernsey, we bring together two key elements in our club’s 150 year history; the historic red V and our iconic Sydney Swans home strip," Harley said.

“We believe we have the two best guernsey’s in the competition and this is a simple way to bring them together for one special night."
