The Sydney Swans will take part in their final preseason match  this Thursday, February 29 when they take on the Brisbane Lion at Blacktown International Sportspark.

An extended eight-man bench has been named ahead of the clash with fan favourites Errol Gulden, Isaac Heeney and Brodie Grundy set to make an appearance. Taylor Adams is also expected to wear the red and white jumper for the first time since joining the team from Collingwood.

The Thursday night game comes after a strong first hit-out against the GWS Giants last week in match simulation. Sydney dusted off the pre-season cobwebs with a 26-point victory - Logan McDonald kicking four goals and Will Hayward kicking three.

Tom Papley and Chad Warner will be rested for tomorrow night's match. The duo played significant minutes last week with the Swans opting to rest them ahead of the Opening Round against Melbourne.

Veteran defender Jake Lloyd will also miss the match against the Lions due to hip soreness, while Luke Parker misses with a broken arm.

Due to a forecast for extreme heat first bounce has been moved to 7:10pm AEDT.

In addition, extra heat mitigation measures will be in place. Each club to be permitted two additional water carriers. Breaks at quarter time and three-quarter time will be extended by two minutes and halftime will be extended by four minutes.
