Sydney Swans senior coach Dean Cox has named his side to face North Melbourne at the SCG on Saturday afternoon.

Defender Dane Rampe will return to the side after he missed the last two matches due to a calf injury.

Rampe is one of two changes, with tall Peter Ladhams also named.

Ladhams is set to line up in his eighth game this season after he last featured in the side's loss to Adelaide in Round 12.

Defender Tom McCartin will miss the clash with the Kangaroos after he sustained a concussion against St Kilda last week.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Cox said McCartin was doing well and was being managed through the AFL Concussion Protocols.

"He's been really good, from my point of view, I've spoken to him as soon as it happened that night and the next morning," Cox said.

"He did a bike yesterday, he was doing one just before, he hasn't had any more symptoms, so that's the pleasing thing.

"He's been up and about, which is great for him and the footy club."

Fellow defender Aaron Francis has been omitted and named on the emergency list alongside Ollie Florent and Ned Bowman.

The Swans will name their substitute one hour before the first bounce.

Sydney faces North Melbourne at the SCG on Saturday at 4.15pm.

The match will be broadcast live on 7mate, Fox Footy and Kayo.
