The Sydney Swans will take an unchanged side into Friday night’s semi-final blockbuster against Geelong at the MCG.

Lance Franklin proved his fitness on the training track this week and will resume his rivalry with Cats defender Tom Lonergan.

“We know we have to keep playing well but also we felt the team going into this week’s line up against Geelong was best to stay as it was,” coach John Longmire told Centrum Team Selection.

Longmire said Franklin had done enough to prove he's over a corked thigh sustained in the win over the Bombers.

“He is fine, he got through the training and did what he needed to do,” Longmire said.

“He ran around and felt good, so he is right to go.”

Lewis Melican took part in training during the week and has been named as one of three emrgencies alongside Aliir Aliir and Dan Robinson.

Veteran Jarrad McVeigh has been named and will become the fourth Swan in history to pass the 300-game milestone when he lines up at the MCG.
