Lance Franklin has become the second Swan in two weeks to earn an AFL Goal of the Year nomination.

The Swans superstar has been nominated for his outstanding long range snap against Port Adelaide during the second half of Sunday afternoon's match.

Franklin showed power and poise as he picked the ball up from the pack and finished with a long range snap from beyond 40 metres.

GWS Giants midfielder Stephen Coniglio and West Coast livewire Liam Ryan will be Buddy's competition to take out the Round 2 award.

Voting will close on Thursday night.

Star midfielder Luke Parker took out last week's award for his bicycle kick goal over his head after winning 63% of the fan vote.
