“We really want to build on what we have been doing,” Mills told reporters on Saturday.
“We have been playing patches in quarters but it would be good to start playing a full game of Swans football.
“We are working on things through our training and hopefully from this game we can learn a lot from it and hopefully that puts us in good stead going into Freo this week.”
The next test comes against an in form Fremantle side who will travel to the SCG where the Swans have won just one match this season.
Mills said the solution to winning at home is a simple one.

“We haven’t been able to play consistent football and you get shown out.
“The competition is so strong now that if you don’t put four quarters together you get shown up.
“This week we will recover, go full steam ahead and try to get the win at home.”
Mills said the focus was on the side ensuring their found the consistency required in what is shaping as one of the most even seasons in recent times.
“We have done it in patches and people have seen that we can do it in patches but it is consistency that makes you a great side,” he said.
“Every team is aiming for consistency and we are no different.”
