The Sydney Swans will play Geelong in Round 6B at Henson Park in Marrickville. Gates are open from 1:30pm at Sydnenham Road and Woodland Street. 

Due to the nature of the venue, please be patient getting into the venue. We suggest arriving early. 

Camping chairs and BYO food is permitted.

Please note you CANNOT bring in:

- Cans or glass
- Alcohol
- Bikes

Located in the heart of Marrickville, Henson Park can be accessed by train and bus. 

Shuttle

For the first time the Sydney Swans will be running a shuttle bus between Sydenham Station and Henson Park, powered by Origin Energy. Members and fans holding a ticket will be able to board with priority given to those with mobility issues or families with young children.

Train

The nearest train stations are Petersham, Marrickville and Sydenham (shortest route), each a 15-20 min walk to Henson Park. Buses run from Marrickville (423), Newtown (423, 426, 428, M30), Petersham (412), Dulwich Hill (412) and Sydenham (M30) stations if you're unable to walk. 

Bus

Several bus routes run through Marrickville with stops a few minutes walk from Henson Park.

M30 Sydenham-Taronga Zoo (prepay only): Victoria Rd near Chapel St
423 Kingsgrove-City: Victoria Rd near Chapel St
426 Dulwich Hill-City: Victoria Rd near Chapel St
428 Canterbury-City: Addison Rd near Illawarra Rd
412 Campsie-City: Livingstone Rd near Sydenham Rd

It is strongly encouraged to take public transport. If you have to drive, there is limited street parking around the area.

There will be an accessible seating marquee located at the Western side of the ground (near the light tower closest to Sydenham Road). Speak with our friendly team on the day if you need assistance.

Due to the nature of the venue, if you have any mobility concerns please enter via Sydenham Road gates rather than Woodland Street.

Tickets for the 2024 season are available from Ticketmaster.

Adult tickets are just $15, and juniors aged 17 and under can attend for *FREE!

*Juniors must redeem a $0 ticket from Ticketmaster for entry into the venue.

There will be five AFLW matches held in Sydney during the 2024 season. One game will take place at North Sydney Oval in Round 1 and four matches will be played at Henson Park in Round 4, 6B, 8 and 10.

For our NSW regional fans a home game will be held at C.Ex Coffs International Stadium in Round 3, September 14.

AFLW Admission Members, Premium and Ruby Club Members can access Sydney Swans AFLW matches using their mobile member tickets in the Sydney Swans App.

Your mobile member tickets will be ready to download the week leading into each game.

Game time: Women's games are 15 minutes plus time on for goals or major injuries only, and an additional two minutes plus time on for match stoppages, goals or major injuries.

Shorter season: The season is shorter than the men's, with 11 games and finals. 16 players on the field- the team is arranged in a 5-6-5 configuration with 5 forwards, 6 midfielders, and 5 defenders. Five players sit on the bench and there is no cap on the number of interchange rotations. AFL games have 18 players and the men’s game is 6-6-6, with 6 forwards, 6 midfielders, and 6 defenders.

The women play with a smaller ball. AFLW matches are played with a size 4 Sherrin football which is slightly smaller than the men, which uses a size 5.

There's no centre bounce. Because of a smaller ball, umpires throw the ball up in the centre of the ground.
