We take a look at some of the key quotes from Luke Parker's press conference on Thursday morning ahead of training at the SCG.

What reception for you expect for Adam Goodes?

“A positive one I am pretty sure. There has been enough support out there from the general public. Geelong are a great club with a great culture and they are leading the way with the way the crowd should behave. A lot of the things we are doing on the weekend has come from Geelong so it is great that they have taken the initiative to show the respect of such a great players.”

Goodes mood on return

“He looked really refreshed coming back and there was a big smile on his face in the change rooms so it was good to see.”

Turning around the poor form

“We had a bit of a form slump for two or three weeks, you have those in seasons. It was a good time to re-group, show our support to Adam and get back to basic footy. We know why we are a good team, we had to show it and we did that on the weekend.”

Playing 100 games

“It is an honour, it has come about really quickly. I still only feels like yesterday that I was debuting, I have been here for five years now and it has absolutely flown by. To be at this club is an honour from the leaders and  the coaches staff you know what is expected of you and that has driven me from the start.“

Potential of one day being captain

“I haven’t really thought about it too much, I was elected into the leadership group this year and I am still developing in that area. A lot of it for me is leading by example on the field; I still have a long way to go in that area. It would be an honour to lead this team as a captain but I think Jarrad and Kieren are outstanding at the moment so I am happy to leave it to them.”

Buddy Franklin injury

“He is training today so it is up to the coaches after that. Hopefully he can get through and we will see after that.”
