Sydney Swans co-captain Jarrad McVeigh, has accepted a reprimand for forcefully elbowing GWS midfielder Rhys Palmer in the midriff.

McVeigh's elbow to Palmer's midriff was assessed as reckless, low impact and body contact.

With an early guilty plea McVeigh incurs a reprimand and 45 carryover points.

Jarrad McVeigh, Sydney Swans, has been charged with a Level One Striking Offence (80 demerit points, reprimand) for striking Rhys Palmer, GWS, during the second quarter of the Round One match between the Sydney Swans and the GWS played at Spotless Stadium on Saturday March 15, 2014.
