The Sydney Swans are back at the SCG this afternoon to take on Essendon.  

JAKE LLOYD – 50 GAMES
Swans midfielder Jake Lloyd is set to play his 50th AFL game today against Essendon. Drafted with pick 16 in the 2013 Rookie Draft, Lloyd made his debut in Round 5, 2014 and went on to play all remaining games for the rest of the season, including three finals appearances. Lloyd has now played 49 of a possible 51 games since his debut.

BEN McGLYNN – WHITE ARMBAND
Swans player Ben McGlynn will be wearing a white armband today in support of Karen Belej, who sadly passed away last weekend. Friends of Ms Belej have launched an event on Facebook, White Arm Bands for Karen, calling on players from sporting leagues across the country to wear white armbands to honour Ms Belej. White Ribbon raise awareness to prevent male domestic violence against women.

LANCE FRANKLIN – MOST CAREER GOALS
Franklin needs six goals to draw level with Bill Mohr (735 goals for St Kilda 1929-41) in 16th spot overall in VFL/AFL history, having so far kicked 729 goals since his debut in 2005.

TEAM
The Swans have made one change to the team that defeated Brisbane. All Australian defender Nick Smith has come back into the side for last week’s debutant Aliir Aliir, who has been omitted. For the full team list to play Essendon please click here.
