THE Sydney Swans wish to thank departing coaches Leigh Tudor and George Stone.

Assistant coach Tudor has accepted a new role with North Melbourne, while Stone departs after 12 years with the Swans.

Tudor, whose initial three-year contract term has expired, joined the Swans for the 2011 season and was part of the coaching group for the Swans' 2012 premiership success.

Senior coach John Longmire said he wished to thank Tudor for all his hard work over the past three seasons.

“Leigh’s contribution to the club over the past three seasons has been fantastic,” Longmire said.

“He was part of our premiership success in 2012 and I wish him and his family all the best as they return home to Melbourne.”

Longmire said he wished to once again acknowledge the contribution of Stone, who was honoured as a life member of the Swans at last Friday night’s Club Champion Dinner.

“George has made an enormous contribution to this club over the past 12 years and it is absolutely fitting that he departs as a life member,” Longmire said.

“George has primarily worked in our opposition analysis and development areas and has been a key factor in the successful development of so many Swans players over the journey.

“He has commuted to Sydney on a regular basis over the past few years and we understand that he wishes to remain in Melbourne full-time.

“We thank him for everything he has done for the club and wish him all the best."
