The match will be played at the $13 million Burpengary Regional Sports Park on Saturday March 8, at 2.30pm, a week out from the Swans opening match of the 2014 season against GWS at the Sydney Showgrounds.
The practice match against the Lions will be the first of three trips the club will make to Queensland in 2014, with regular season matches against the Lions (Saturday May 3 at The Gabba) and Gold Coast (Sunday June 8 at Metricon Stadium) already announced.
The club’s pre-season campaign will begin with two NAB Challenge games against GWS (Thursday February 20 at Manuka Oval) and West Coast (Thursday February 27 at Blacktown ISP).
Prior to the NAB Challenge series, the Swans will again partake in a pre-season training camp in Coffs Harbour from January 28-31, 2014.
