viagogo, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, has gained further momentum in Australia by announcing its third AFL partnership to become the official partner of the Sydney Swans.

The three year deal will see viagogo power the club’s online box office, which will give Swans fans secure access to tickets to an unrivalled choice of events in Australia and all over the world, up to the last minute and even if they are sold out at the box office.

The Sydney Swans join the Collingwood Magpies, Richmond Tigers, and 2013 NRL Premiers, the Sydney Roosters as official viagogo partners.

Sydney Swans’ Chief Operating Officer Grant Rose said: “The Sydney Swans are excited to partner with viagogo as we look to provide new ticketing and entertainment opportunities to our members and fans.

"As a global business that holds partnerships with some of the world’s biggest sporting clubs, we are proud of the fact that viagogo has elected to partner with the Sydney Swans as it brings their services to the Australian market.

"We wish viagogo every success and look forward to working closely together to grow both of our respective businesses and deliver back to those that are connected with the club.”

viagogo spokesperson Alex Levenson said: “Swans fans are well known for being some of the most passionate supporters in the AFL and we’re delighted to be partnering with the club to give them choice, convenience and consumer protection when buying tickets to the events they love.

"Our business has revolutionised the way that people buy tickets all over the world and we are looking forward to working with one of the AFL’s most successful clubs to improve the ticket buying experience for its fans.”

viagogo officially launched its service for Australian consumers in September 2013 and provides sports and entertainment fans with a secure platform to buy and sell tickets to live events.

The Sydney Swans join nearly a hundred of the biggest names in sport and entertainment that already work with viagogo around the world, including more than 30 European football clubs such as Chelsea FC, Manchester City FC, FC Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.
