Ben McGlynn’s performance against Port Adelaide earned him a ‘perfect ten’ in the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year votes for the first time this season.

The 29-year-old, who collected 21 possessions, six tackles and three goals, was superb in the Swans’ 26-point win over the Power at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night and subsequently attracted top votes for his efforts.

McGlynn’s ten-vote performance was the eighth game he has polled this season, which has elevated the midfielder into fourth place on the Swans’ leaderboard with 39 votes for the year.

Josh Kennedy was also recognised for his efforts against the Power, with the midfielder earning five votes for his 34 possessions, five clearances and nine inside-50s in Adelaide.

Kennedy’s performance has seen him hold onto equal-second place on the competition leaderboard with 83 votes, tied with Port Adelaide forward Robbie Gray who was awarded seven votes for his game on Saturday night.

Nick Malceski was awarded three votes for his 23 possessions and five tackles against the Power, while Port Adelaide defender Jack Hombsch (two votes, Swans co-captain Jarrad McVeigh (two votes) and young gun Harry Cunningham (one votes) took out remaining votes.
