With one match remaining for the season, the Sydney Swans have three players inside the top ten on the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year leaderboard.

Josh Kennedy (83 votes, third place), Lance Franklin (80 votes, fourth place) and Luke Parker (65 votes, ninth place) have led the way this season, with the Swans currently having more players than any other club in this year’s top ten.

While Port Adelaide midfielder Robbie Gray has been named the winner of the award with an unbeatable 102 votes, Kennedy and Franklin will have the chance to battle it out for third position in Saturday’s final round clash with Richmond at ANZ Stadium.

Franklin moved within three votes of Kennedy - who missed last Sunday’s match with injury - with another perfect ten-vote performance for his six goals, 18 possessions and nine marks in the Swans 63-point win over the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.

Parker also worked his way up the competition leaderboard with eight votes from the coaches for his 32 possessions, 10 clearances and 11 tackles in Sunday’s win, while co-captain Jarrad McVeigh brought his season tally up to 32 votes after attracting six votes for his 33-possession and five-tackle effort.

Nick Malceski (four votes) and Kieren Jack (one vote) were also recognised for their respective performances, while Bulldogs’ young gun Tom Liberatore was awarded his team’s only vote.
