The Sydney Swans made amends for their round one loss with a 46-point win over GWS at the SCG in round 15.

The Swans burst out of the blocks early with a four-goal-to-one opening term, and held GWS goalless in the second quarter to hold a 44-point lead at half time.

While GWS were more competitive in the second half, the Swans went on to record their eleventh win for the season, and a tenth consecutive victory.

After missing round one, co-captain Kieren Jack was brilliant, finishing the game with 32 possessions, including 22 in the first half, while Josh Kennedy continued his midfield brilliance, collecting 29 possessions and a game-high 10 tackles for the match.

After booting nine goals over the last two matches, Lance Franklin continued his purple patch of form, kicking five goals against GWS as well as picking up 18 touches, seven marks and four tackles.

Despite the Swans impressive streak of form, Swans coach John Longmire was keen to play down his team’s winning record after the match.

"It's certainly better than losing," he said.

"In the end, coming into this weekend we were still third on the ladder and a game off top spot and fighting to stay in that top four.

"That's where we sit. It's a pretty ruthless competition and you need to keep winning.

"It's good we've been on a roll after the slow start we got off to and it's a credit to the players they've been able to consistently play well.

"But you have to keep going."
