Big games on the big stage highlight the Sydney Swans 2015 AFL fixture.

The Swans will host three Friday night blockbusters at the SCG featuring Carlton, Richmond and for the first time in 15 years at the venue, Collingwood.

For the second consecutive year, the Swans will kick off Indigenous Round, this time on a Friday night against Carlton, and will also host a Thursday night fixture at the SCG against 2014 preliminary finalist Port Adelaide.

ANZ Stadium will again host three blockbuster matches, launching the season against Essendon in round one, followed by a clash with Geelong and a round 16 Grand Final rematch against Hawthorn.

The Swans play five matches in Victoria, kicking off in round six against Melbourne at the MCG. The first Grand Final rematch against the Hawks will be played in round eight at the MCG.

The first local derby of 2015 against GWS will be played in round three and will be a Swans home game at the SCG.

Sydney Swans chief executive Andrew Ireland said the club was pleased to feature in big games in key timeslots.

"This is a great fixture for fans, with so many big matches played at both the SCG and ANZ Stadium,” Ireland said.

"Following the success of the match this year, it is great to have a number of Friday night matches fixtured at the SCG in 2015, with three big games including Collingwood in round 20. We expect the Thursday night clash with Port Adelaide in round 14, during the school holidays, to be another blockbuster fixture.

"We continue to push for at least six matches in Victoria and whilst we understand the challenges with the expansion of the competition, we are disappointed that this is not the case for 2015.

"These big games certainly bring some challenges from a football perspective, but overall we believe this to be an incredibly exciting season ahead for fans.

"With our strong on field performance this season, we saw a significant uplift in our crowds, and with so many big matches in 2015, it is really important that people secure their seats in the stands by becoming members.”

All Swans matches in 2015 will continue to be broadcast live on 7mate in Sydney and Fox Footy nationally.

School holidays blockbuster
The Swans will host Port Adelaide on a Thursday night at the SCG in round 14, in what is set to be a school holidays blockbuster.

With the last home clash against the Power attracting the biggest SCG crowd of the 2014 season with 41,317 attending, next year’s fixture with Port Adelaide is shaping up as one of the most anticipated matches of the Swans’ 2015 draw.

37,355 people attended the last Thursday night match at the SCG, played against Geelong in round 11 this year.

Grand Final rematch
Swans fans won’t have to wait too long for the Grand Final rematch, with the Swans scheduled to travel down to Melbourne to face Hawthorn at the MCG.

The Swans will face the Hawks on two occasions in 2015, with the second meeting to take place at ANZ Stadium in round 16.

ANZAC Day clash on the road
The Swans will travel west on two occasions in 2015, starting with the Len Hall Tribute game against Fremantle at Patersons Stadium on ANZAC Day.

The Swans will return to Perth in July to face the West Coast Eagles in round 17. It will be just the third time the Swans have played two home and away games in Perth in one season, with 2000 and 2004 being the other occasions.

The club will also travel to Queensland on two occasions next season, with the side scheduled to play the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium in round 10 and the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba in round 15.

Five matches in Victoria
The Swans will play four matches in Melbourne in 2015, including two Saturday night MCG clashes against Melbourne in round six, and again two weeks later against the Hawks in round eight. The Swans will also travel down to Etihad Stadium to face preliminary finalists North Melbourne in round 11 and St Kilda in round 22.

The club will also travel to Geelong to face the Cats at Simonds Stadium in round 19.
